|Birthplace||Buffalo, New York, USA|
Born in Buffalo, New York, he did the requisite paper route, worked in a record warehouse, a record store, a retail store and then began in radio at the age of 18. That took him from Buffalo to Miami, San Francisco and Seattle in the space of 3 years. After taking up stand-up comedy on the side, he left radio and hit the road full time from 1986-1997. He won a Weider natural bodybuilding championship in the Master's division at age 43 and he started pursuing his lifelong desire to act. He soon landed a starring role as Plastic Man in the independent film "Carried Away" which played in the Seattle International Film Festival. He scored several national commercials and a starring role in another independent film "Lover's Lane". This film also starred Anna Faris, Sarah Lancaster of "Chuck", Riley Smith of"24" and "New York Minute", and Richard Sanders of "WKRP."
After this series of successes and holding down a morning radio show for eight years he decided to give acting a more serious try. Moving to Los Angeles in 2005, partly because director James Frawley told him he thought he'd be very busy if he worked in L.A., he has worked pretty steadily since. Most recently working on Oliver Stone's Savages, recurring on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush, Justified, Mr. Sunshine, The Event, Miami Medical, Party Down, Desperate Housewives, Crash, HBO's True Blood the AMC series, Mad Men. His commercial success continues as well with spots for Twix, Freecreditscore.com, Charter Communications, Wendy's and Cheez-it.
A photographer on the side, he loves playing golf. He has shot even par three times but still waits for a hole in one. Vacations usually mean trips to famous courses with his brother like Pinehurst (2005 U.S. Open) , Sawgrass (The Player's Championship), Cascata (Michael Douglas Celebrity Tournament), Pine Needles (2007 Women's U.S. Open), The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (2007 Senior PGA), Sea Island in Georgia (The McGladrey Open) and Trilogy at La Qunita (The Skins Game).
